Start with the Asset and Network
If your Ledger Live balance is not showing, identify exactly what is missing: the asset quantity, a token entry, a recent deposit, or only its fiat valuation. The app is now called Ledger Wallet. Each symptom points to a different check, so avoid treating every empty screen as a lost-wallet incident.
An asset can exist on multiple blockchains under a similar ticker. For example, a token sent on one EVM network will not appear in an account view for another network merely because both addresses begin with 0x. Use the withdrawal record to establish the actual blockchain used.
Confirm Whether the Transfer Reached Your Address
Obtain the transaction hash from the sending wallet or exchange. An exchange’s internal reference number is not always a blockchain hash. Search the hash using the appropriate network explorer and inspect its result, receiving address, asset, and confirmation status.
If the transaction is pending, continue monitoring that network. If it failed, review the sender’s record before trying again. If it succeeded to another address or chain, cache clearing cannot change the destination. Ledger’s wrong-address and wrong-network guide explains why the specific scenario matters.
Check the Account Display
Look for Hidden or Filtered Assets
Review active filters and any hidden-token settings. Compare the token’s contract address with official information for the project and network, rather than trusting a ticker alone. Unsolicited tokens can imitate familiar names, so avoid opening links embedded in token names or descriptions.
Re-Add the Correct Supported Account
If you recently reinstalled the app, your previous account list may need to be added again. Connect the initialized Ledger device associated with those accounts and choose the right asset and network. Use the same passphrase-backed device configuration if the original account depended on an additional passphrase.
Separate Missing Prices from Missing Coins
If the coin quantity is present but its fiat value is blank or unusual, the issue may concern price data. Check the selected display currency and compare the asset quantity first. A missing market quotation does not establish that the blockchain balance changed.
Repair Stale Account Information
Check Ledger’s status page, update the app through an official channel, and refresh the account. If service has recovered but the account remains outdated, follow Ledger’s synchronization instructions to clear cached data and rescan.
Some assets are supported by the hardware device through a compatible third-party wallet but are not displayed directly in Ledger’s application. Verify the asset’s current integration through Ledger Support. Connecting a compatible wallet via its hardware-wallet option is different from importing recovery words.
When to Escalate
Prepare the asset name, network, app version, public transaction hash, and a description of what is missing. Review those details for privacy before sharing them through official support. No technician needs your recovery phrase to investigate why an account view is incomplete.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a confirmed deposit be missing from the app?
Yes. Display support, account selection, network selection, and synchronization can affect what the application shows. Verify the chain record before selecting a remedy.
Will reinstalling recover a wrong-network transfer?
Reinstallation repairs application files. It does not move assets between blockchains or reverse a transfer, and it should not be presented as a universal recovery method.
Should I send more funds to make the balance appear?
Do not send an arbitrary payment to a supposed verification address. Some chains have documented account-activation rules; check the specific official asset guide before taking any action involving funds.
