Synopsis

Season 1 of Secret Invasion expands upon the Skrulls and their inhabitation of Earth. Having played a key role in Captain Marvel and also appearing in Spider-Man: Far From Home, what’s next for the shapeshifting race and their people?

The Skrulls are a technologically advanced race known for their shapeshifting abilities, making it possible for them to hide in plain sight. They have also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in WandaVision, What If… , and Loki. Secret Invasion is inspired by the Marvel Comics crossover series that followed the Skrull’s long-term invasion of Earth. However, the events of Captain Marvel proves there will be vast differences between the comic book series and the TV show of the same name.

What to know

Secret Invasion is an upcoming miniseries produced by Marvel Studios and Disney+. The series is based on a Marvel Comics’s storyline of the same name originally written by Brian Michael Bendis.

The protagonist of Secret Invasion is none other than Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D and founder of the Avengers. Fury is famously played by Samuel L. Jackson and the character has made appearances in several of Marvel’s previous productions. Joining the actor in Secret Invasion are Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman and Don Cheadle.

The lead villain of the series will be played by Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, and Carmen Ejogo also join the show’s cast.
